Na ‘n lang stil stilte het Abel Kraamsaal uiteindelik weer n nuwe CD op die rak en volgens kenners was die wag die moeite werd!
Hierdie album is genaamd “Die Afstand tussen Tyd” en Abel het ‘n heerlike “band” bymekaar gemaak om die nuwe musiek (en natuurlik ‘n paar van die ou gunstelinge) bekend te stel by die Boer restaurant teater op 5 Aug en om die geleentheid te vier, gaan Abel ‘n CD weggee aan elke persoon wat ‘n tafel van 8 of meer boek.
Soos gewoonlik is die musiek moeilik om in n spesifieke styl te beskryf.. dis oorspronklik, dis uniek, en een ding is seker..verwag n aand wat gaan ROCK! Besprekings by 021 979 1911

(The World’s First Internet Blues Band!)
One of the greatest joys in life for a musician is to get together with other musicians and simply play and create music “on the spot”. In the Blues and Jazz “capitols” of the world like New Orleans, Montreal, Paris & Chicago, certain areas or streetcorners became unofficial gathering places where musicians from all over the world would meet and just ”jam” Often these musicians have never met before and would not even speak the same language, but when they started playing, they all understood each other. This kind of music has a fresh, unrehearsed and “seat of the pants” kind of quality that bristles with energy and joy
Die Boer theatre retaurant in Durbanville has just created an “official” forum for this kind of music. The “vehicle” is the World’s “First Internet Blues Band!” Read more below about this amazing concept:

On keyboards and vocals will be Simon Orange who played for legendary bands like die Blues Broers, Big Sky and Valiant Swart.
On guitar and vocals will be the superb Stremes frontman, Wayne Pauli. Pauli has a beautiful and haunting voice quality, and as a guitarist he must rate as one of the very best in this country.
On bass is former DNA strings wizard, Jacques Steyn , an awesomely talented guitarist who have mastered many instruments and styles of music,.. and specifically loves the improvisational style that this forum calls for. |
On drums this week is Piet Heyns, also known as “die Gemaskerde Sopbeen” a name held over from his “varsity” days as a lean, mean, heavy Rocker of note.. (with a secret passion for the blues!)
Master of Ceremonies, is founding member of SCBB, Jurgen Human who, for this gig, also doubles as the 3rd frontman on guitar and vocals.

Our wintermenu is up and running and according to the feedback, Jean Louis has come up with a winner again!
It pays to come early, as our chef also comes up with a special dish every day at a really rockbottom price. Also on special everyweek is a “serious” wine of which a limited amount will be sold at a very special price.
It is, however, only the early-birds that will benefit from this, as these specials are usually sold out by 19:00. Come before that time to ensure you dont miss out!
