Boulevard Blues at die Boer
 If you haven’t heard these "Undercover agents for the Blues" live yet, you are missing out on what must be South Africa’s premier blues band.
Legendary lead vocalist Dr John is the frontman for this sextet of top musicians and with his unique voice and relaxed stage demeanour, he has to be the coolest dude around!
One don’t stumble upon a voice like his too often. Years of use (and maybe a lttle abuse..) have honed and tempered it to an instrument of very special quality
The show starts of with a beautifully crafted acoustic set, featuring the considerable skills of Richard Pryor on guitar and Greg Smith on harmonica whilst Debbie Pryor provides some interesting percussion on a “box-like” instrument called the cagon.
However the fireworks starts in the second part of the show when the “engine-room” of Graeme Abbott on drums and Robbie Stemmet on bass joins the band for an hour of electric blues at its very best.
Blues is music of the heart and the soul and if you have never experienced it live, you don't know what you are missing..
