Dave Ferguson & The Lonesharks
The Lonesharks are Cape Town's own highly entertaining "true to the genre" Chicago Blues band, They play their own highly original brand of Blues mixed with Louisiana Cajun and the recommended daily allowance of Country Twang.
Backing superb harmonica wizard and frontman Dave Ferguson is a seriously accomplished band. Veteran Guitarist Willem Moller has been a feature in many top notch bands including Big Sky, Nataniel and many others and with the Lonesharks he is moving back to his very solid blues roots.
Paul Tizzard, the highly acclaimed drummer for The Usual is as solid as a piece of lead and together with Roger Bashew on Bass they form a formidable “engine-room” that keeps the rest of the band right in the groove
So, if you’re planning to spend an evening with the Lonesharks, expect some energetic Blues-harp and guitar driven tunes, amazing individual skills and an unavoidable good time..
