The show features Lottering's brand new material. He will express his unique views on a broad range of topics, ranging from Dog Whisperers to his fascination with reality TV in South Africa.
Lottering will, of course, also explain as to why it is that he refuses to work on Sundays.
The show starts at 20:30 pm and runs for 70 mins with no interval. I DON'T WORK ON SUNDAYS is not suitable for children.
MARC LOTTERING hails from Cape Town, and is considered by many to be one of the hottest comics on offer from South Africa.
The son of a Cape flats Pentecostal Pastor, Marc’s colourful upbringing is often reflected in his unique brand of comedy which has established him as a firm favourite with so many audiences.
In 1994, Lottering abandoned his law studies at the University of Cape Town and worked full-time in the fields of Advertising and Communications.
Marc’s locally flavoured comic streak was first brought to the fore in 1997 when his original one-man cabaret AFTER THE BEEP was performed to critical acclaim, in Cape Town. Soon after, Marc launched his second one-man show entitled ONE SINGULAR SIN-SATION which opened at the Grahamstown Arts festival, thereafter moving on to successful seasons in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Marc’s next project, a compilation show of his most popular material up until then, entitled THAT’S MISTER LOTTERING TO YOU, sold out in Cape Town in September 2000.
Television appearances include IT’S A FUNNY COUNTRY, EVITA LIVE AND DANGEROUS, co-hosting the prestigious WOMAN OF THE YEAR AWARDS for 2000, 2001 and 2006, BIG OKES, WILL THE REAL MARC LOTTERING PLEASE STAND UP (2001), PEOPLE OF THE SOUTH, MARC LOTTERING AND FRIENDS (2002), and THE MARC LOTTERING SHOW (2002) .
Marc made his international debut in 2001, when he performed alongside the likes of Pieter Dirk Uys, Hugh Masekela and Sibongile Khumalo as part of the Celebrate South Africa Concert, in London.
